GENOTYPE MATCH AND THE IMPORTANCE!

Hello, beautiful people welcome to this Exclusive Session of HealthTuesday and on this blog post, I'd Start by sending special love and encouragement to all individuals passing through various genotype crises: those facing excruciating pains, spasm, those who are anemic and have jaundice, you all are Hero's and Heroine's thank you for believing in yourself and for not giving up regardless the crises you face.
Honestly, people with SS, SC & CC genotype really go through a lot during their crises. They actually go about their daily lives normally with so much strength and vigor for the ones I've seen and they have this openness to love so easily (smiles). Though the pain they experience is just like roasting your skin on fire and then pouring pepper on it. I was discussing with someone this evening and he was like: most of the beautiful people with SS genotype are so Intelligent. I was happy someone was speaking well about them and not discriminating them. Sadly most of them are discriminated in the society. I have met three amazing people during their crises and honestly this guys face shades of pain. I pray you get comforted.
If you get a privilege to meet any child with sickle cell disease encourage them, love them and don't discriminate them, because they didn't create themselves but they are the fruit of their parents ignorant act or rather due to lack of awareness
Alright, let me serve you the full cake now, do well to keep your eyes glued to your screen and don't fo
No two human beings are the same even those who we know as identical twins, they amazingly still has something to differentiate them.
Every induvidual should be aware about their genotype and intending couples should know and share information about each other’s blood genotype and blood group because this can serve as an important forecasting guide for their offspring’s genotype, quality of life & overall health. Remember many of this individuals who are SS didn't plan to have such genotype but due to lack of awareness on how the genotype Match ought to be or should I also say, some couples just play deaf ears to it and they end up creating awkward stages of pain for this beautiful souls, some kids end up dying as a result.
IT'S IMPORTANT YOU KNOW ABOUT GENOTYPE MATCHING EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT PLANING TO GET MARRIED. YOU COULD BE THE BEST PERSON TO SAVE A LIFE WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE SOMEDAY.

GENOTYPE MATCH:

The Genotype Match, is simple a way to show if two people have compatible genotype.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HAVE TWO COMPATIBLE GENOTYPE?
Two people are said to have compatible genotypes when there is no possibility of them birthing a child with sickle cell disease. Genotype AA is the universally compatible genotype that is, regardless of who they partner up with, there is no possibility of them birthing a child with sickle cell disease.
COMPATIBLE GENOTYPES:
AA + AA = compatible
AA + AS = compatible
AA + SS = compatible
AA + AC = compatible
Below are genotype that are incompatible meaning if you get married as partners you will give birth to a child with Sickle Cell or Haemoglobin C Disease
AS + AS = Incompatible
AS + AC = Incompatible
AS + SS = Incompatible
AS + SC = Incompatible
Below, is a chart to enable you understand how you can get  Compatible or Incompatible if your genotype and the genotype of your partner when it get matched, after mating / during fertilization of your baby, know how it gives you the tendency that your baby could be Normal or a victim of the disease. PS: Please take your time to study the Genotype compatibility chart, you will get to understand more.
Anywhere you see the red lettering, just know that if you should go ahead with the marital relationship without proper counselling and advice, there is 100% chances that you will have a child either suffering from Sickle Cell Disease or Haemoglobin C Disease and there are both life threatening for your child.
As a nurse I'm an advocate and I really wouldn't want to see more children suffer this disease because there is no permanent treatment for it, though there are various management therapy. However, you can gets to do a Bone Marrow Transplant, this is the only way you can be free from sickle cell disease if not it's continuous for life. If you prepare to have this BMT, from estimate it cost $350,000–$800,000 depending on the procedure and country. This quite huge you know for lots of personright and it's affordable if you can afford it. Some persons don't earn even a dollar $1 in a day in some undeveloped country. However, there is hope for all existing people with this disease God willing.

But I'd keep advising you stick to the knowledge, enough of the sufferers. I plead with you because "Every year, around 150,000 babies in Nigeria are born with Sickle Cell Disease, one of the highest rates in the world.

IMPORTANCE OF KNOWING YOUR GENOTYPE:

For the genotype Matching you would have sited few important reason for knowing you genotype. However, below are more.
1). It is important to get your genotype checked, because Hemoglobin abnormalities are a major health problem in some part of the world even in Nigeria.
2) It's Important because, If both parents have an unusual hemoglobin type, counseling will identify their chance of having a child with abnormal hemoglobin like S, & C
3). Also, it is important because unusual hemoglobins are not contagious like some people may think that associating with people who have sickle cell anemia will influence their own genotype and  this does not affect intelligence. You can be brilliant regardless your genotype.
4) It is important to know your genotype, so that if yours is abnormal, you will receive counselling so you don't pass it to your children.

IN SUMMARY: Genotype Match is key because a father and mother's genotype ultimately crosses to determine that of their offspring. Equipping yourself with the right information about genotype compatibility will help you make the best quality of life decision(s) where marriage & conception is concerned. This can help you avert the devastating effects that can ensue from sickle cell disease and by extension Improve your quality of life

THIS IS AN AWARENESSES FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC, DO WELL TO SHARE THIS KNOWLEDGE WITH THEM. LOTS OF LOVE FROM ME.
