NOW LETS DIVE DEEPER.
Once again I really want to appreciate you my wonderful viewers (lovers of good health)
Today on this blog post, I'll be focusing two areas: What is Genotype? and Why it is essential for your to know your genotype status.

As you've heard very often, that every person is unique. This is so true. Part of what makes you unique are your GENES.
Genes are the instructions inside each of your cells. They control how you look and how your body works.

Since everyone has slightly different genes, everyone has a different set of instructions for their body.
GENES ARE ONE REASON WHY YOU ARE UNIQUE AND SPECIAL.
I'll take sometime to talk about genes because this will help you understand vividly what your Genotype is.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT YOUR GENES:

— Genes is a unit of heredity in your cell which is transferred from your parents to you and these genes determine some of your character.
— A person has two copies of each gene, one from the mother and one from the father.
— Gene carry instructions that tell your cells how to work. (Cells are the building blocks of the body.)
— Genes are arranged in structures called chromosomes. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. Copies of the chromosomes are found in each cell. (Chromosomes are made up of DNA. DNA is the special code in which the instructions in your genes are written).
In knowing these, you'll get to understand how vital it is to having a knowledge of your Genotype.

WHAT IS GENOTYPE?

In a nutshell: Genotype is a complete heritable genetic identity. It is the sum total of genes transmitted from parent to offspring.
Blood genotype indicates the type of protein (Haemoglobin) that is in the red blood cells. You could have Haemoglobin AA, AS, ACSS or SC based on what is inherited from your parents.

Honestly, it is very essential for you to know your Genotype status. This could be for individual purpose (sake), Marital purpose and for other purpose like Job enquiry and Medical purposes. With a simple blood test within some hours, you will be able to verify what your Genotype is.

Why It Is Essential For You To Know Your Genotype Status:
1). It will help you to determine the hereditary potentials and limitations from embryonic formation through adulthood.

2). Knowing your genotype, or genetic mutation, could help determine your eligibility state for clinical trials, which drugs to avoid because of inhibitor development.

3). Knowing your genotype status before marriage will help you and your spouse make plans for your unborn children.
This will help save intending couples and their offspring the stress that comes with the management of sickle cell disease.

There are different Genotype and each one has its own benefits/effect on your health and your general well-being.

So my adorable viewers, next week I'll be talking on the various types of genotype; it's certainly going to be the Part 2 still on the series "GENOTYPE".
Please do well to check Genotype status, kindly go for a screening to confirm, while you stay in anticipation.

Stay safe till and see you next week.
I love you all big time

    1. Thank you for the feedback, I'm so delighted.
Alright down to your question "Relationship between Genotype and phenotypes?": The phenotype is a collection of trait that springs from the genotype.
Note that: your genotype is the unique sequence of your DNA. While the phenotype is you detectable trait or physical expression rooted out from the interaction between your genotype and the environment.
