Are We Ready?
Hey You
Welcome to another Episode of Health Tuesday with me Your
Favourite Nurse.
And as usual, all ladies gather round.
This one is for you.
Today I'll be walking You through Three(3) major reasons why you must Value your Mental Health as a Lady
But before we begin, let me tell you a short story.
There is this woman I really admire, when you talk about family she gives her all for her family, she goes the extra mile just to ensure that her family feel loved and safe.
When you meet her in her career she is a classic example of an independent woman, she strives to meet deadlines from her organization, she is up and doing.
During social events, SHE DEY REPRESENT WELL, she cheers everyone up during a social gathering.
Infact everyone looks up to this woman.
Can
you
guess
who
this
woman
is?
Yes, You can actually guess who this woman is.
You've been with her your whole life, and that woman is YOU.(Smiles)
However, Strong woman reading this now,
There is one thing we as women really need to understand, and it is the fact that when we have chronic stress, feelings of anxiety, loss of motivation and possibly get burned out, everything connected to us suffers rather than progress.
Family, career oo everything might collapse.
Which is why prioritizing your mental health is so crucial and today I'll give you three reasons why you must value your mental health.
We are all different individuals. Please understand this and don't begin to compare yourself to your own detriment.
Number Two:
Chronic stress can cause havoc on our body and mind. Have you ever heard of "Stressed Induced Hypertension"? This is disorder is caused by chronic stress.
That's why you might hear about a young guy in Aba, who is doing do well in his business, he has lots of houses and then suddenly in the day while he is coming down from his car, he slumped and gave up the ghost after getting to the hospital.
When proper examination is carried out, doctors will relate that it's a result of him having untreated Hypertension.
See, Hypertension doesn't have age and same goes with stress. But when we take care of our mental well being we are better equipped to handle life's challenges.
Lastly:
Taking care of your mental health can actively improve your physical health. This is a game changer.
Most times when ladies complain of having missed periods for two - three months and after diagnoses, the doctor doesn't see anything wrong after examination, he may then ask the lady if there is anything pressuring her, if she has been stressed and to your amazement the lady will affirm yes.
Now you will realize that poor mental health can affects your Reproductive health and other physical health.
So, do well to create boundaries, space and understand how best your body can rejuvenate and do well to stick to it.
I want you to know that valuing your mental health is not an option, it is a necessity.
Thank you for sticking to the end please don't forget to share this with others on your contact.
Byeee, talk soon Favourite Nurse Favour.
